HINTS ON NOTES AND LINKS:
There are pop-up notes in various places in the text. If a word has an asterisk (*) by it, there is a pop-up note associated with it. Just click on the word, read the pop-up note, then click on the pop-up note to hide it again.
Also, if you "jump" to a card by clicking on one of the Adobe menus, via the Index, or from the body of the guide, the Return button (the curvy arrow in the lower right of the card) will take you back to the Adobe menus or the Index respectively.
If you're not sure about the location of some of the buttons, hold the Option and Command key down at the same time. Any buttons on a card will appear as boxes with gray outlines.
HINTS ON SEARCHING:
If you want to find a particular word, just select
"Find" from the Edit menu, or type Command-F. Then type the word or words you want to find. HyperCard will search the stack and find your word. Press Return or Enter to keep finding other occurrences of the word.
POSTSCRIPT (a note, not the language)
I apologize for the "text only" format of this guide. I had big plans to include graphic examples of most, if not all, of the cards. Unfortunately, the going was very slow, and the stack started to balloon in size (not to mention the fact that my illustration skills aren't up to the level of professional illustration artists). The information, though, was still good, so I abandoned that part of the guide in order to get this out in the hands of the public.
This is also not the greatest example of hypertext... it's far too linear. But, it's a start.
